About

Hey everyone!  Welcome to the wonderful world of blogs.  You’re excited, I can tell.  You feel like you’re doing something edgy.  Something hip.  Something all those crazy kids keep talking about using their weird, scary words.  This is Web 2.0 baby!  The 21st century!  This is the future!  YEAH!!!

Relax.  It’s just a blog.  Any numb nut can have one these days.  I’m a shining example of that.  I just figured with Baby Schrager on the way, this might be the best way to communicate to people who wanted the latest info on the big event.  There might even be pictures if I can find someone who has a camera.

The blog also makes it easy for everyone to chat with each other, leave comments, ask questions and generally harass me.  I’m glad I thought of it, (after reading The Playskool Guide for Expectant Fathers…seriously.  Look at page 232.)

I think this is going to be our main source of communication over the next few weeks.  I’ll be able to write updates from the hospital as well since our room will have WiFi.  I’m sure I’ll have plenty of time to kill.

  1. You clever 21st Century guy! This looks like fun for now, but how long do you think before I revert to email (how old fashioned!)? Aunt Laurie called me tonight and, as it happens, she was looking at her album of photos and I had been spending some time captioning my album of 50th wedding anniversary, Goldstein Thanksgivings, weddings, bat mitvah, and now babies….most of the pix done by Shawn. May we all stay happy and healthy for years to come! Nic’s sister-in-law just had her second girl on March 2, a few days early…so we are counting the minutes until Sam finds herself with a precious new one and a suddenly absent basketball. Laurie just mentioned the naming ceremony. We were both happy to learn of each other’s ignorance of such a thing…made us feel less out of it. Still, it sounds exciting and something else wonderful to look forward to. I think I will be rehearsing for a musical comedy that will open our Deertrees Theater season in June (maybe the snow will have melted by then). This might be my last bit of drama before….well…we’ll just have to see what develops. Love to you all, Joanne
