It’s hard to believe Delaney is 5 1/2 weeks old now.  (It’s even more amazing that a human being can operate on no sleep after 5 1/2 weeks, but this post isn’t about me.)  Delaney went to the doctor on Monday and had all of her fluids topped off.  She’s up to a healthy 11 lbs. 9 oz. and is now 23 inches long.  Her lung capacity is amazing.  Don’t believe me?  Come visit us.

What’s more amazing is Delaney already has an attitude.  Below is a picture of my little angel after I told her she couldn’t stay up to watch Lost.  I’m in trouble…

Delaney Naming Hotel Info

Week 4 and boy are my arms tired.  And my legs.  And my head.  And my eyes.  And my… well you get the idea.  I’m tired.

I just wanted write a quick note to let you know that if you’re thinking of coming to Delaney’s naming on May 17th, you might want to book the hotel now.  There’s a NASCAR race that weekend and if you didn’t know already, Charlotte loves it some NASCAR, so hotels are getting booked quickly.  We do have some limited room at the house, so we’ll try and accommodate as many people as we can, but I’m not sure how accomodating Bailey is going to be.  You’ve been warned.

I will try and find some hotels that are close to the house with availability so I can pass the info on to you.  But you might want to check out Expedia.

I know Aunt Judy found rooms at the Hampton Inn in Pineville.  That’s not far away at all.

Sam’s parents are staying at the Country Inn & Suites in Matthews.  I’ve seen AAA rates there at $116 a night.  That’s about 10-15 minutes away.

Looks like the Charlotte Marriott Executive Park has some rooms too.  It’s 6 miles from the airport and maybe 10-15 from the house.

Last I checked.  The Blake Hotel had rooms available for $119 a night with a 2 night minimum.  It’s a former Adam’s Mark hotel and it’s on the edge of the city.  That makes it about 20 minutes from the house.

Some towns that are close to us… South Park is nice, Pineville is not far away, either is Matthews.  The City is 20 minutes away.
